Meet Tammy.
Tammy Youngerwood is the face behind Jerusalem Cake Design. She is a mom of 4 pretty awesome kids, living in Jerusalem. She has a Fine Arts Degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and a Masters in Graphic Design from the London College of Printing. She loves the arts & creativity and has worked at magazines and web design creative businesses in Toronto, London and Israel.
Tammy brings her clients the desserts of their dreams. She has showcased her desserts at some of the best venues in Israel including the King David Hotel, Olmaya and the Orient Isrotel Hotel. Celebrity clients include professional basketball and soccer (football) Israeli sports stars, politicians and influencers. She gives personal attention to her clients and her customer service is second to none. She prides herself on having a loyal customer base that return to her year after year to mark the milestones of their lives.
Tammy also has a passion for eduction and sharing her skills with others. She runs workshops for adults and teens and teaches a variety of different baking techniques and desserts. She has been featured in Cake Central Magazine, Mekor Rishon, Baking Heaven Magazine and was an instructor at Cookie-a-thon 2024.
The Studio.
Our studio is our happy place. Under supervision of the Rabbanut, Jerusalem cake design offers dairy (chalav Yisrael) and parve desserts. The JCD studio is located in the heart of Jerusalem, minutes away from the bustling Emek Refaim Street and the beautiful Rakevet park. The JCD studio is where it all happens. The teenbaking academy summer program, adult baking workshops and family private classes are all here. Desserts can be picked up by appointment only.
Our bestselling workshops are the babka workshops and cookie decorating classes. Our studio gives you the space and time to step out of your busy schedule and enjoy a memorable baking experience!

Internships.
We love interns! For over 7 years, JCD has been working with MTVA, Aardvark, OnWard Israel/JInternship, Machon Maayan and other gap year programs to host students who have come to Israel to study and gain work experiences (or just a fun chance to play and help out in a bakery!)
